About LNS

We're an educational consultancy offering an awareness and understanding of the circularity of life and human perception, a systems view of human biology.

This awareness and understanding of the circularity of life shows how human beings and nature are all interrelated to form the web of life, and how every action has a circular systemic consequence (a reflection of our global interdependency and interconnectedness within the natural circularity of life).

Consequences of our perceptions and actions

The consequences of our perceptions and actions can be seen in the social and environmental problems that we have created: poverty, starvation, violence, wars, the economic and environmental exploitation of third world countries, environmental degradation, the destruction and depletion of the various species and eco systems that constitute the web of life.

We are the problem. We are also the solution.

With a shift in human perception, we can construct another view of ourselves and nature that is humanistic and planetary. This view reflects the circularity, the mutual interdependency and systemic interconnectedness of all human beings together with all other living beings, systems. It is a shift from the 'I' to the 'we'; from the local to the global; from individualism to humanism; from separation to mutual co-existence with the environment; from the one to the whole; to think and act with hindsight and foresight, from awareness, rather than blind linear and dualistic ways of thinking.

Sustain the web. Sustain humanity.

Sustaining the web of life through a circular worldview is our next cyclical phase. It involves the design and implementation of new systems, methods and technologies that do not harm or impinge upon the web of life, but instead they sustain and nurture life. This can only be done through a shift in worldview. It's up to all of us, here and now.

Life's Natural Solutions: Established 1994.

Jane Cull is the Founder and Lead Consultant of Life's Natural Solutions. Since 1994, she has developed a range and depth of expertise based on extensive research into the theories of living systems, the work of world-renowned Chilean Systems Biologists, Dr Humberto Maturana and the late Dr Francisco Varela. She has embodied and expanded on their work to provide an experiential and conceptual understanding of biology, human perception, the circularity of life and how we make the shift to construct a more sustainable world. Jane continues to bring these understandings to life through workshops, seminars and her latest e-book, "The Circularity of Life: An Essential Shift for Sustainability".

Science of the Times:

Jane Cull's work is inspiring and fresh. Her knowledge of Maturana's work together with her own experience of sustainability, produces a clear, coherent, and powerful approach to issues of human development within a deeper evolutionary context. Such an approach is vital to the challenges faced by humankind in this day and age.

Jane Cull's deep understanding and clarification of Maturana's insights aside, what I find most impressive is her commitment to bringing these to bear in everyday living. I witnessed this during the workshop in Jane's immediate availability whenever anyone had anything to ask or offer. She was truly there to engage and learn together rather than simply instruct or impress.
